New this Year: Intro to Rockstardom 101
This is a 90 minute ensemble class for beginning rockers ages 10-17, students with less than 1 year of experience. A class of 10 to 12 students of guitars, bass, drums, keyboards and singers. We will teach you the basics of learning your instrumental and singing parts to a song, playing together in a band, and learning how to have fun!
UROCK (University of Rock) 2010/11~ Cincinnati
(Guitar, Bass, Keyboard, Drums, Dj and Vocals)
The University of Rock (UROCK) is a rock band experience for young musicians ages 10-18 that rehearse weekly and are coached in performing rock standards, contemporary hits and writing and performing original songs. UROCK bands meet on Saturdays and selected weekday evenings.
UROCK bands have performed at the Cincinnati Zoo, the Cincinnati Museum Center, Jefferson Hall, the Northside Tavern and are regularly featured on Fox19.
At least 6-months experience is required for UROCK, with knowledge of chords in the 1st position and bar chords on the E and A string for guitarists. Vocalists are encouraged to sing both lead and background.
